Something is Buzzing at Waverley

Bees are some of nature's most misunderstood creatures. As pollinators, bees play an integral role in maintaining the ecosystems that keep us alive. From supporting the growth of plants like trees and flowers, to ensuring the prosperity of important crops, it is vital that we all do our part to protect these little insects with a huge job. That is why we have installed a beehive on the rooftop of Waverley, as part of our commitment to building sustainable housing that supports the protection of our environment.

At its peak, the hive will be home to up to 50,000 bees, producing over 30lb of honey each year! Residents of Waverley are invited to learn more about our beehive and the importance of bees by joining our workshops, hosted on-site.

Waverley residents will receive a jar of fresh honey, harvested by our Waverley bees annually. Our tiny friends are also busy making beeswax products ranging from candles to soaps and lip balms, all of which will be available to residents when ready.
